How to Play
WIN - This characteristic is NOT editable. Each time a WIN is awarded, that player receives +7.5 points. Remember to increase the hand count after each hand to maintain accurate hand percentages.
Space 2 is an editable characteristic with the default set to TIGHT. Use this space for TOP PAIR, TOP KICKER, FOLDS TO RE-RAISE, NS for no-show win, or any other positive play label you choose. When awarded, the player receives +5 points.
Spaces 3, 4, and 5 are editable characteristics representing negative play. Each time one is awarded, the player receives -5 points.
Space 3 default is MID PAIR.
Space 4 default is CHASING. Use this label for someone who is chasing or shows loose play.
Space 5 default is EGO PLAY. Use this label for someone who defends their blinds or button, or over bets.
Keep positive play in space 2 and negative plays in space 3, 4, and 5. The lables can be changed any time and will not cause the value of stats already awarded to change. By tracking these stats, you can start to get a feel for your opponents and whether they maintain positive or negative play.
At the start of each hand, press the hand count button.
Ego plays will show first, after the first round of betting. Give an ego play stat to everyone who defends their button or blinds when raised. If they fold when raised, give a tight play stat. After the flop, decide who, if anyone, was chasing. After the river, give a stat to the winner or no-show winner. Be sure to also give a stat to the player who lost the hand, likely mid pair or chasing.
After a couple of rounds, you will notice patterns start to develop. Use this information to decide who you want to play and who to stay away from. When you highlight a player (seat), a positive / negative number will appear at the top of the screen, along with a playing percentage. When you are in a hand with someone, check to see why they are in the hand by reviewing their score and playing percentage. Are they chasers? Make a bet. Do they have a solid positive score and low hand percentage? You may want to fold.
Once you notice a specific trend for a player, you can choose to give them a rating by editing their name and adding a marker in front. For example "A" for aggressive, "C" for calling station, "P" for passive player, "T" for tight and so on.
Improve your playing by learning to keep track of your opponents using this app. Over time you'll start to recognize patterns without even knowing it.
